How it works
From sales history to sales action, in four steps.
Outgain is built around one job: helping your sales team notice customers who have gone quiet, and act before the relationship drifts. This is the workflow as it exists in the product today.
01 · Identify
Import your order history and let Outgain find customers who are later than usual.
Start with a CSV export of sales orders or invoices from your existing system. Outgain checks the file before saving anything, flagging problems such as missing columns or unreadable dates, and shows a preview so you can confirm what is being imported. You can import again later to add newer orders or correct existing documents.
For each customer, Outgain looks at the gaps between their past orders to work out their usual buying rhythm. Customers who are noticeably later than their own pattern are flagged as reorder opportunities.
Example: a customer who has ordered roughly every 14 days and last ordered 23 days ago is flagged. A customer who orders monthly and last ordered 23 days ago is not.
02 · Prioritise
See a ranked list of customers, with the reasons spelled out.
Flagged customers appear as a sales priority list. Each entry explains the signal in plain English: the usual gap between orders, how long it has been since the last one, and the products the customer normally buys. A confidence indicator shows how strong the signal is.
Because every flag is explained, reps can sense-check it in seconds instead of taking a score on trust.
Example (illustrative): “Usually orders every 14 days. Last order 23 days ago. Normally buys milk, butter and free-range eggs.”
03 · Follow up
Draft a personal follow-up, then send it yourself.
From any priority card, create an editable email draft from the built-in template. Optional AI-assisted drafting is being trialled. Drafts are saved against the opportunity so the team can pick them up later.
Outgain never sends email on your behalf. Your rep sends the message from their own email account, then records the contact in Outgain.
Drafts are suggestions. Nothing reaches a customer unless a person on your team sends it.
04 · Track
Keep follow-ups visible until there’s an outcome.
Each opportunity has a status (not contacted, contacted, customer replied, order won or not interested) plus a next follow-up date, notes and a history of every change.
When you import newer orders, Outgain checks whether the customer has since bought a flagged product. If so, the outcome is shown as verified by an order. If an opportunity is marked won without that evidence, it is shown as claimed rather than verified.
Outgain does not estimate revenue recovered. Outcomes are recorded as evidence, not projections.
Being clear
What Outgain doesn’t do today.
We would rather you know exactly what you are getting. These are deliberate choices or simply not built yet.
Send emails automatically
Every message is reviewed and sent by a person on your team.
Connect live to your ERP or CRM
Data comes in through file imports. Direct integrations are planned for later.
Estimate revenue recovered
Outcomes are tracked as order evidence, never as projected value.
Replace your team’s judgement
Outgain suggests who to contact and why. Your team decides what happens next.
